Bangkok Street Food

The 3 Things I Miss Most about Thailand?

If I have to choose the 3 things that I miss the most about Thailand, It will be:

Family and friends.

Before I was married to my husband, I stayed with my family. I have a big family with everybody living under one roof. I was always surrounded with the family and friends all of my single life. Sometime it was chaos like any ordinary family, but what I miss the most is the good times we had when we joined together, just talking, laughing and how we asked about each other’s day, etc.

I have a chance to go back Thailand 1-2 times a year and I have a cheap phone card to be able to call my Mum every day. But I still feeI a bit sad that I can’t look after her when she is sick or was in hospital.

Also I miss a night out after work with my sister or my friends. Sometimes, we went out for dinner or shopping and that what‘s I miss the most.  Don’t forget Thai women love shopping, eating and chatting!

Thai Food and Bangkok

You can buy Thai food anyway and anytime in Thailand, especially Bangkok is the city that never sleeps, which I think I miss the most.

I love Thai food and I always prefer Thai food more than western food. Even though, I cook Thai food myself everyday but I feel it’s not the same like in Bangkok.

I can search for Thai food recipes on the internet and found some Thai grocery shops here.  Luckily enough I can find almost all Thai ingredients and a lot of Thai restaurants here but I feel it’s not quite the same. I miss to walk along the street with some friends to find the tasty Thai restaurants; I miss the smell and the unique atmosphere that only Bangkok can offer you.

Thai language and Thai people

Even though I can communicate with my husband and other people here, I can’t express myself 100% like in my own language. Sometimes, I miss speaking with someone in Thai.  I find the internet helps me a lot to keep me occupied and in touch with Thai people.
